Humanics, Inc. and Practical Learning have just updated our ongoing research effort across geography, industries, occupations, salary, and organization size. The result from some key questions are presented below.

How productive are employees? How well are we managing our talent?

  • How do employees across industries, geography and job categories feel they are performing vs. their full potential?
  • Are they utilizing most their skills in their current jobs?
  • Are their organizations supporting them in what they need to do their jobs well?
  • What do they really want from their work? How many are receiving it?

Talent Management: Performance versus Potential

  • Employees across all occupations are performing at only 65% of their potential
  • 86% say they're ready and eager for more challenging assignments and
  • Only 57% are utilizing most of their skills in their current jobs

Organizational Support: Employee Feedback

  • 26% receive performance feedback that helps them
  • 46% receive support from their managers required to do their job well
  • 51% thoroughly understand what is expected of them
  • 59% totally understand their organization's goals
